ESMOND TWEEDIE | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Esmond Tweedie brings over 20 years of experience in both UK and international education to his role as Executive Director at Saint-Charles International School.

Educated at Eton College, Durham, the Open University, and Cambridge, he has taught Economics at Oundle School, led the IB Diploma Programme at Aiglon College, and served as Headteacher at Verbier International School.

With dual British and Swiss nationality, he combines a deep understanding of both cultures. His breadth of experience equips him to guide Saint-Charles with vision and care, while continuing to strengthen its tradition of academic excellence and personal growth.

Beyond his dedication to supporting and inspiring students and staff, he enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and exploring the outdoors.

CARMEN KOCHER | HEAD OF ACADEMICS

Carmen brings more than 20 years of experience in education, coaching, and organisational development to her role as Head of Academics.

Since joining Saint-Charles in 2015, she has played a central role in shaping the school’s international curriculum and in fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and personal growth. Her leadership combines academic rigour with a human-centred approach, ensuring that students are both challenged and supported.

Before joining Saint-Charles, Carmen founded CKpnl-Coaching, where she worked with executives, teams, and NGOs on leadership development, organisational change, and psychosocial risk management. She also served on the board of Société Romande de Coaching.

Carmen holds a Licence ès lettres in German, Linguistics, and History from the Université de Genève, together with advanced certifications in Appreciative Inquiry, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (PNL), and psychosocial coaching. Driven by a passion for learning and empowerment, she continues to guide students and educators toward resilience, meaningful growth, and lasting achievement.

ANNA PETROVA | HEAD OF ADMISSIONS

Anna Petrova has worked at Saint-Charles for nearly four years, bringing extensive experience in sales and customer relations to her role as Head of Admissions.

Educated in Public Relations, she has dedicated her career to supporting families and guiding them with care throughout the admissions process. She takes pride in building lasting connections and finds great joy in watching students grow both academically and personally during their time at Saint-Charles.

JOSE MIQUELINO | HEAD OF BOARDING

José Miquelino is a boarding specialist with more than 10 years of experience in international education. He began his career as a Houseparent and Sports Teacher at Institut Rosenberg, later joining the boarding leadership team before becoming Boarding Coordinator at Institut Montana Zug.

He holds a degree in Sports as well as counselling certification from Instituto Superior da Maia in Porto and the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology.

Fluent in several languages, José leads with a focus on safeguarding, clear routines, and the highest standards of care. A committed sportsman, he believes in nurturing each student’s growth – first as a person, and in building the character and resilience that last a lifetime. His experience and dedication will ensure that boarding at Saint-Charles remains a safe, supportive, and enriching home for all students.

NOEMIE MEMBREZ | HEAD OF Summer Camp

Noémie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Institut de Glion. She subsequently worked in the hospitality sector. Fluent in French, English and Spanish, she possesses significant international sales experience. She brings a wealth of knowledge of the hospitality industry and manages the Summer Camp alongside a dedicated team.

Our teaching staff are passionate educators, committed to inspiring curiosity and a love of learning in every student. Their dedication goes beyond the classroom – they strive to share their knowledge, nurture individual talents, and guide each child to reach their full potential. With enthusiasm, expertise, and a genuine care for their pupils, our teachers create an environment where learning is engaging, meaningful, and lasting.

Saint-Charles International School operates under the guidance of a Board of Directors. Made up of five members from business, politics and church, the board brings diverse perspectives and expertise, which together ensure the school remains true to its core values of kindness, respect, and responsibility.
