WEEKEND ACTIVITIES
Our Weekend Activity Programme encourages students to step beyond their comfort zones, offering experiences that grow in challenge and depth. Each weekend brings new opportunities to strengthen skills, discover talents, and build confidence.
PURPOSE
Our programmes are designed to nurture courage, resilience, teamwork, and leadership through carefully planned challenges.
Along the way, students develop real skills, personal discipline, and a strong sense of community life.
A clear progression, marked by recognised awards and meaningful roles, ensures that every achievement is celebrated and built upon.
PRINCIPLES
At Saint-Charles, safety always comes first: every activity is supported by professional risk assessments, thorough staff training, and careful debriefing.
Our programme follows a progressive model, with each term increasing in challenge, independence, and responsibility. Designed for real-world transfer, activities foster life skills and a spirit of service to others.
The Foundation Level
At the Foundation level, students focus on teamwork and basic skills through activities like indoor climbing, canoeing, or campus service. The Development stage brings more independence with day hikes, project planning, and problem-solving challenges.
The Advance Level
At the Advanced level, students step into leadership, managing expeditions, team challenges, or service events, and recording their progress through portfolios that highlight growth in both skill and character.
